Intuit is discontinuing the Sync Manager

On December 09, 2015 Intuit sent all QuickBooks Desktop customers an email stating that the Sync Manager will be discontinued on March 01, 2016 and replaced with the Web Connector.

We’ve got you covered. Time Tracker is compatible with Web Connector. But you must make the switch before March 01, 2016 to avoid data loss.

How do I get started?

You’ll probably want a hot cup of coffee by your side, or perhaps something a little stiffer if it’s the end of the long workday. Once you’ve got your beverage of choice in hand, simply open up your Time Tracker account and click the yellow banner you’ll see running across all of your screens. Then follow the instructions.


The process will probably take you about 15-20 minutes and save you a lot of time in the long haul. If you don’t feel like taking on the process alone, you’re welcome to give us a call at 1-800-851-0992 or start a live chat and we’ll be happy to talk you through it.

We need you to switch before
March 01, 2016

Web Connector requires Sync Manager to map your data. Without going into the details, the Sync Manager stores a map of all your items such as customers, projects and vendors. This map is used when you sync data between Time Tracker and QuickBooks Desktop. To transfer this data map to Web Connector the Sync Manager must be active and working. The Sync Manager will not work after March 01, 2016 which means your data map will be lost if you do not migrate to Web Connector before March 01, 2016.

If you wait until after March 01, 2016 your data map will be gone and you’ll need to reconnect and re-sync your entire Time Tracker account to QuickBooks Desktop – a very time consuming and arduous process.
